The WILTEC Model 510A Manual Load LTO Cartridge BULK ERASER unit is low cost and portable. Cartridges are manually loaded into the front panel receiver and automatically eject after the Data ERASE, Tape Clean and Certify (optional) cycle. Cartridge tape is loaded, tensioned, advanced and rewound by a modified  IBM LTO Tape handler. The IBM LTO Drive is modified to include a WILTEC Proprietary ERASE Head that concentrates an intense D.C. magnetic flux density meeting/exceeding DoD 5220.22-M on top of all 4 data bands destroying all Data written on the tape simultaneously in one pass, greatly extending tape cartridge life.  4 each Model 510A ERASERS have been employed very satisfactorily  to Sterilize ERASE several thousand cartridges  in as many minutes, by a single  operator.
